She was in the kitchen, getting ready to boil some eggs for breakfast.
He walked in, and without hesitation, she turned and said, “I need you… right now.”
His eyes lit up, thinking, “This is my lucky day!”
Without missing a beat, he swept her into his arms, and they enjoyed the moment fully, right there by the kitchen table. It lasted a total of two minutes.
Afterwards, with a smile, she simply said, “Thanks,” and turned back to the stove.
A little confused, he asked, “What was that all about?”
She laughed softly and replied, “The egg timer’s broken.”
