The Flame of Inspiration

On a pleasant spring afternoon, a friend went to visit the artist Pablo.

To his surprise, he found him in his studio with all the curtains drawn.

Pablo was working on a painting of the Virgin Mary, with only a candle lighting the room.

Surprised, his friend asked:

“I’ve always heard that painters prefer sunlight to help them choose the right colors. Why don’t you open the curtains?”

“Not right now,” replied Pablo. “It would disrupt the intense flame of inspiration that’s burning inside me, filling everything around with its light.”
