There was a kid named Thomas who liked to hang out by the local corner store. The other boys always teased him, calling him stupid. To prove their point, they’d give him a choice between a nickel and a dime. Every single time, Thomas picked the nickel. The boys would burst out laughing, saying, “See? He picks it because it’s bigger!”
One day, the store clerk, who had been watching this for a while, pulled Thomas aside and asked, “Son, why do you always take the nickel? You know the dime is worth more, right?”
Thomas grinned and whispered, “Of course I do. But if I ever pick the dime, they’ll stop playing the game. And so far, I’ve made fifty bucks!”
